Cheese grater with storage container
Just what it says on the tin: a cheese grater which fits onto a plastic container that you can seal with the lid when you are done grating, saving what is left for a later date. A cheap and simple life hack which keeps your cheese fresh.
4) Egg poacher
For those of us, like me, who have not quite mastered the art of the perfect poached egg, you know the one I mean, stays together, perfect ball of whites with the just runny yoke buried inside. This is where a silicone egg poacher comes in handy, keeping your eggs in the one place as they poach, meaning they fit perfectly on top of your morning toast.
Just fill the handle with soap and the sponge will produce suds so you don’t always need to fill a basin with soapy water for just a couple of dishes, but still get them sparkling clean. The extra length from the handle also means you can reach every inch inside long glasses and keeps your hands relatively dry.
We all know that woks are ideal crockery for stir fries, but they are also secretly multitalented, miracle pots. Good for boiling and frying, they are a one stop pot to soups, sauces and much more, making them a kitchen cupboard staple.
Again, cheap, easy and effective. The flexibility of the silicone means you can scrape absolutely everything out of the bowl or saucepan, leaving no ounce of food behind as it slides right off the silicone. Easier for cleaning up and less food wasted. I personally find it’s best for lifting cake mixture, but sauces and soups come away just as easy.
