How your donation has made a difference
During the year 2014-15 DIWC supported 523 (target 400) women through its services, which included 364 continuing service users and 159 (target 150) new service users. A total of 480 individual women attended classes and groups. Many women come to our centre to make new friends and improve their skills
In 2015-16, three women have completed their ECDL course and received their certificates. 8 women completed NPA in Playwork and Childcare, 7 Volunteering Skills Award, and 33 completed SQA levels in ESOL taught by Dundee College. We aim to educate and reach more women in the following year.
In 2015-16 we had a target of 24 women to take part in Employability Workshops. 21 women took part in formal workshops, but we gave an additional 94 individual incidences of 1:1 support regarding employment, including CV building, job search, completing application forms etc
