What women have said about coming to the centre
I love coming to the centre because I don't feel judged here. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. It is very difficult to cope when you move to a new place but this centre makes me feel close to home.
I love coming to DIWC as I get to meet new people and improve my skills. I feel like this is my second home and I would be very lonely and isolated without the centre.

How your donation has made a difference
During the year 2014-15 DIWC supported 523 (target 400) women through its services, which included 364 continuing service users and 159 (target 150) new service users. A total of 480 individual women attended classes and groups. Many women come to our centre to make new friends and improve their skills
Social gathering at the centre
In 2015-16, three women have completed their ECDL course and received their certificates. 8 women completed NPA in Playwork and Childcare, 7 Volunteering Skills Award, and 33 completed SQA levels in ESOL taught by Dundee College. We aim to educate and reach more women in the following year.

In 2015-16 we had a target of 24 women to take part in Employability Workshops. 21 women took part in formal workshops, but we gave an additional 94 individual incidences of 1:1 support regarding employment, including CV building, job search, completing application forms etc
