What is the project about?
VOICE is a partnership between Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau and Dundee International Women’s Centre. The project supports ethnically diverse women and their families by providing advice and practical help in a trusted, culturally safe environment.
VOICE brings together specialist advice and community-based support so women can access help with issues such as housing, benefits, income maximisation, debt, energy, and immigration enquiries. By working collaboratively across both organisations, the project makes support easier to access and more responsive to people’s needs.
The project recognises that worries about money, housing and access to services can have a major impact on wellbeing. VOICE aims to provide early support that helps prevent problems from escalating, while also helping women feel more informed, confident and connected.
Support is available through Dundee International Women’s Centre or by contacting Eilidh directly at Eilidh.Forbes@dundeecab.casonlineorg.uk.
