DIWC is a purpose-built community centre with a variety of flexible, modern spaces and facilities for use by our learners, staff and guests.
The community area is the hub of the centre, where our learners, staff, volunteers and visitors come together to socialise and take part in our various events throughout the year. There are comfy sofas, café-style tables and chairs, and a fully-equipped kitchen.
This space is open to any women in Dundee to socialise, relax, or work. We have free WiFi, toilet facilities with free period products, and no obligation to join any classes.
Our study area and IT room is where our learners can attend classes and get computer access.
There are 8 computers, all up-to-date, networked PCs with an internet connection.
Our large training room is a multi-functional space which we use for many classes including sewing, English, and French.
There is seating for up to 20 people and tables can be arranged into different configurations.
Our larger classroom is a multi-functional space which can be used for training, classes, or events.
There is seating for up to 50 people and tables can be arranged into different configurations.
If you need childcare while you attend our classes and groups, our qualified staff will provide a fun, friendly, safe environment for your child and give you peace of mind to enjoy your learning experience.
