The Journey of Women into Dundee
What is the project about?
The Journey of Women into Dundee is an inspiring, creative exploration of women’s experiences of moving to Dundee; their hopes, challenges, and what makes this city feel like home.
Through writing, poetry, artwork, photography, and film, women from DIWC will share their unique journeys. What drew them to Dundee, what they left behind, and how they are building new lives here.
The project shines a light on the push and pull factors that brought these women to Dundee, from safety and opportunity to education and community, and celebrates the beauty of resilience, culture, and belonging.
